Eligibility
The purpose of this scholarship is to support students preparing for faithful, vocational gospel ministry through theological education consistent with historic, evangelical Christian doctrine. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for scholarship assistance:
Personal Faith in Jesus Christ. Applicants must profess personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and demonstrate evidence of a growing relationship with Him.
Agreement with Core Christian Doctrine. Applicants must affirm the following essential biblical convictions:
The Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God.
There is one God who eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man.
Jesus lived a sinless life, died for sins, and physically rose from the dead.
Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone.
Repentance and faith are necessary responses to the gospel.
Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation and the only way a person can be reconciled to God and receive eternal life.
Christians are called to live holy and obedient lives under the lordship of Christ.
God created humanity intentionally and purposefully as male and female, both equally valuable and made in the image of God, with distinct yet complementary roles according to Scripture.
Marriage is a covenant instituted by God and designed to be the lifelong union of one biological man and one biological woman.
Faithful Membership in a Biblically Faithful Church. Applicants must be active members in good standing of a local church that affirms and teaches the essential doctrines listed above.
Commitment to Church Accountability. Applicants must be willing to remain under the spiritual authority, discipleship, and accountability of their local church leadership throughout their seminary education.
Approved Seminary Requirement. Scholarship funds may only be used for study at approved seminaries and institutions that are substantially aligned with these theological convictions. Approved schools include:

Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary
Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary
New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary
Gateway Seminary
Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary
*Other like-minded seminaries or Christian universities may be considered upon review and approval by the scholarship committee.
Pursuit of Ministry Preparation. Applicants should demonstrate a genuine desire to grow in biblical knowledge, Christian maturity, and preparation for vocational ministry leadership or gospel service.
Character Qualifications. Applicants must seek to live above reproach and in a manner worthy of the gospel, demonstrating integrity, humility, and moral faithfulness.
Academic Readiness. Applicants should demonstrate the ability and willingness to pursue seminary studies with diligence and excellence.
The scholarship committee reserves the right to approve or deny applications based on doctrinal alignment, church involvement, character, academic preparedness, and available funding.
